Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hirst were Wanganui visitors to Wellington during the week-end.

Mr. and Mrs. Desmond Unwin, Timaru, .have been paying a visit to Wanganui.

Mrs. H. C. Jenkins, St. John’s Hill has returned from Wellington.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold McLeavey, of Ohau, were recent visitors to Wanganui.

Mr. and Mrs. N. S. Whiteman, of Masterton, were week-end visitors to Wanganui.

Mrs. W. Swanger, who has been visiting Wanganui, returns to-day to Turangi.

Miss White, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. E. Sampson, St. John’s Hill.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Webster, of Queensland, are the guests of Mrs. C. G. Webster, St. John’s Hill. Mrs. T. A. Hunter, Mrs. C. Hunter and Mrs. L. Hunter, of Wanganui, were recent visitors to Wellington.

Miss Joan Webster, St. John’s Hill, spent the week-end in Wellington.

Mrs. W. Rankin has returned to Wanganui after spending several weeks in the Waikato district with her daughter, Mrs. Cecil Harding.

Miss Maysmore and Miss Joan Hunter, of Auckland, are the guests of Mrs. W. R. S. Brewer, “Waihau,”

Mr. and Mrs. R. Laurie, of Wellington, are spending two weeks’ holiday in Wanganui and are the guests of Mrs. G. M. Mackay, Godwin Crescent.

Mrs. P. H. Hartland, Wicksteed Street, has returned after a holiday of two months spent in the South Island, during which she visited Christchurch and the Franz Josef Glacier. Miss Julie Werry, of Sydney, who leaves by the Awatea on Tuesday on her return to Australia, will sing over the air from 2YA this evening a few minutes past 8 o’clock. z Miss Werry came to New Zealand several weeks ago on a broadcasting tour of the Dominion and to spend a holiday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Werry, St. John’s Hill. During her stay in Wanganui, many parties have been given for her by friends.
