GREATFORD

DEATH OF OLD RESIDENT A large number of friends and relatives attended the funeral of the late Mrs. Sabina Lewis, a very old and highly respected resident of the Greatford district, on Saturday last. Many beautiful wreaths were received from all parts of Rangitikei. The pall-bearers from the residence to the hearse were Messrs. W. and P. Kitney, W. Jones and J. and G. Goile and from the hearse to the graveside R. E. Neilson, Noel and A. Lewis and L. G. Moss, grandsons of the deceased. The Rev. Barrett, of Bulls, read the burial service, after which the casket was lowered down through ferns and flowers to her last resting place in the little cemetery of Greatford.
