STAFF PICNIC
REGENT THEATRE MEMBERS SPORTS PROGRAMME EVENTS. The Regent Theatre staff's annual picnic was held at Kai Iwi during the week-end and a very enjoyable time was spent by a party of upwards of 50 of the staff and friends. Ice-cream, soft drinks and tea and milk were provided by the committee. During the day a novel competition for -the best behaved members of the party was won by Miss Peattie and Miss Ackroyd. Results of the sports programme are as follow: Ladies' Handicap: Miss Piper 1, Miss B. Good 2. Men’s handicap: Mr. C. Papps 1, Mr. R. Gambitsis 2. Sack race (ladies): Miss B. Good 1. Miss P. Clark 2. ’ Sack race (men): Mr. F. Hoy 1, Mr. P. Quinn 2. Three-legged race: Miss R. Ackroyd and Mr. P. Quinn 1. Pick-a-back race: Miss D. Good and Mr. Burbush 1. Wheelbarrow rac: Miss B. Good and Mr. R. Willacy 1. Chain-stepping contest: Miss P. Peat tie 1, Mr. C. Papps 2.
