On account o( several acts of malicious vandalism on the Martor Jockey Club’s property at Marloi Junction, the committee has decide* to prosecute trespassers and to lakt proceedings against anyone destroy ing property or lighting tires. Recently the starting balloon was practically destroyed, the framework being broken and the covering rippet io pieces. The gauze on the me./ safe was destroyed, four pieces broken and stripped off. Also a firt lit in the parking area. A fortnight ago a stack of hay on part of the club’s property which has been leased, was set on fire by a juvenile and th-' stack destroyed. The owner, how ever, discovered the culprit, and lit was compensated for his loss. Owing to the dry season it is criminal k start a fire, which might lead to :i serious loss.
