ATHLETIC MEETING AT PATEA

The Palea Amateur Athletic Club had their best meeting on Wednesday evening, when a special effort was made tor “Fitness Week.” Seven boys from Alton competed, and tourteen races were held, resulting as follows: Boys’ 75 Yards. First heat; 1. Hills 1, R. Hills 2, D. Hermon 3. Second heat: P. Cunningham 1, R. Fafeita 2, F. Gantley 3. Final: P Cunningham 1. R. Hills 2, F. Hills 3. Girls' 100 Yards.—B. Mills 1, O. Harris 2, M. Phillips 3. Men’s 100 Yards. —First heat: P. Clarkson 1, D. Mays 2, L. Fisher and J. Ciseley 3 (equal). Second heat: K. Hill 1, R. Fitzwater 2, J. Fafeita 3. Final; J. Fafeita'l, P. Clarkson 2, R. Hills 3. Half-mile Cycle.—J. Hams 1, I. Hermon 2, G. Williams 3. Boys’ 100 Yards.—First heat: R. Bargrove 1, D. Glenny 2, P. Cunningham 3. Second heat: F. Hills 1, D. Hermon 2. R. Hills 3. Final: F.
