BRITISH LABOUR PARTY
A PURGE OF CRIPPS SUPPORTERS (Independent Cable Service.) Received Feb. 23, 10.50 p.m. LONDON, Feb. 23. The Evening Standard says the Labour Party is beginning forthwith a purge of supporters of Sir Stafford Cripps and the Popular Front policy. A split in the Socialist ranks is inevitable as a number of the big unions are expected to line up with Sir Stafford Cripps.
