SPORTS IN MARION PARK W. R. TUCK’S MEMORIAL CHALLENGE SHIELD. There was a good attendance on the Marton Park on Tuesday even- ' ing when athletes and cyclists from ' Wanganui competed for the challenge ' shield presented by the late Mr. W. R. Tuck, of Wanganui. The meeting was ! capably conducted by officials of the I Marton Athletic and Cycling Club .and the events were keenly contest--1 ed throughout the evening. At the [ conclusion of the meeting the com- ! petitors were entertained at supper , at St. Andrew’s Hall, where the Mayor (Mr. F. Purnell) presented ’the shield to the Marton Athletic !
