HIGH CASTE WINS
GALLOP AT CAULFIELD READY FOR SATURDAY. MELBOURNE, Feb. 22. The New Zealand two-year-old High Caste easily defeated Early Bird, a fast three-year-old, in a seven furlong gallop at Caulfield, the time being Im. 3secs. High Caste ran the first three furlongs in 36 and four in 49. He had Early Bird beaten for pace throughout. The New Zealand horse’s first race in Australia will be in the Alma Stakes at Caulfield next Saturday.
