ROWING

WANGANUI ASSOCIATION HEAD-OF-THE-RIVER RACES. JUNIOR AND SENIOR TITLES. At a meeting of the executive committee of the Wanganui Rowing Association last evening, it was decided to hold the Head-of-the-River races early in March, the junior event being set down for Wednesday, March 8, and the senior event on Thursday, March 9. The start in each event will be at 6 p.m. and the races will be rowed over the championship course, finishing at Calver’s Corner. It was decided to instruct the selectors to choose a crew to represent Wanganui in the annual eight-oar championship event for the Hallibur-ton-Johnstone Cup, to be held at Dunedin on Easter Saturday.
