WANGANUI CENTRE VETERANS’ DAY RINKS ENTRIES FOR TO-MORROW The annual day conducted by the Wanganui Bowling Centre i’or the veterans of the various clubs takes place to-morrow at 2 p.m. on the Wanganui green. The centre will welcome any veteran on the green that day, whether he plays or not. This is considered one of the best days of the bowling season, and the entries this year constitute a record. KEESING CUP CHALLENGE

WANGANUI DEFEAT GONVILLE Last evening, on the Gonville green, a Wanganui Club team defeated Gonville (holders) in a challenge match for the Keesing Cup, by 21 points to 13. The teams were:— Wanganui.—Boulton, Goodey, Goldstone, Engebretsen. Gonville.—North, J. Healey, Laird, Corby.

ANNUAL TOURNAMENT

WANGANUI PUBLIC SERVICE ASSOCIATION WIN FOR RAILWAY RINK The second annual tournament conducted by the Wanganui Public Service Bowling Association was held on the Wanganui East Bowling Club’s green on Saturday in fine weather. Five games of eleven heads were played, and at the conclusion three rinks were equal with four wins each. These were skipped by Raine (Railway), McCracken (Railway), and Fleming (Police). Raine eliminated McCracken in the semi-final and proved the eventual winner when he beat Fleming after an extra head had been played. Following are the results:— First Round. R. Lynch, L. E.
