MARTON MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB
REVIEW OF PAST SEASON. "The 1938 season of the Marton Miniature Rifle Club was very successful, due to a large membership, and the keen interest that members took in their shooting and the club itself,” stated the report of the Marton Miniature Rifle Club to be presented at the annual meeting of the club to be held in their hall, French Street, Marton Junction, on Monday night. "The standard of shooting showed an improvement on that of last year, members being very keen, and settling down in earnest. The club championship was won by Mr. J. Hammond, Mr. C. Cockburn being the hunner-up. "The club was unfortunate in losing some of their good shots, who have left the district, but they have gained a number of new members *who are showing great promise for the coming season. The thanks of the club arc due to donors of trophies, the shooting for which has proved very keen, and generally maintained great interest throughout the season.”
