WANGANUI CENTRE FULL RINK COMPETITIONS SATURDAY’S RESULTS Fine weather prevailed on Saturday for play in full ‘rink competition matches at the various Wanganui bowling greens, but at the Wanganui East green the Public Service Association held their tournament, Raine’s rink winning from the rink skipped by Roche after playing an extra head.

At the Wanganui Club's green on Saturday the eleventh round of the Wanganui Bowling Club’s full rinks competition was played. The results are as follow: Armstrong, Horton, Liddell, Engebretsen 18, v. ST. JOHN’S CLUB

The St. John’s Club ran both allday and afternoon tournaments on Saturday. The visit of Sir Julien Cahn’s cricket team naturally affected the attendance of members but as the Wanganui East green was occupied by players in the Public Service tournament some of the Wanganui East members took part in the St. John’s tourneys. Eight rinks took part in the all-day tournament which consisted of 5 games of eleven ends, and ten rinks took part in the afternoon tourney of three games of nine ends. Hounsell beat McKenzie in an eliminating round, and in the semi-finals Hutchinson beat Moffatt, and Toop beat Hounsell. The final resulted in Toop , defeating Hutchinson.
