WILLIAM TUCK MEMORIAL SHIELF WANGANUI AND MARTON. To-morrow evening Wanganui athletes will compete with Marton in the first annual contest for the William Tuck Memorial Shield. A large party of Wanganui athletes is making the trip, including runners, cyclists and field event competitors. Great interest is being taken in the shield, as all the events are to be conducted from scratch. It will prove a good try-out for Marton and Wanganui competitors prior to the West Coast championships oci Cook's Gardens next Saturday. The Wanganui competitors are fo assemble at Martin and Vernon's at 6.30 p.m. to-morrow. They are to

wear the correct club uniform, maroon singlet and white shorts.
