OUT FOR TWO MONTHS
INCIDENT AT WOODVILLE PENALTY FOR VV. C. GRINDLAY At Woodville on Friday there was an inquiry into interference suffered by Dancing Flame when Twilight Song came back on her about three furlongs from home in the Oringi Highweight Handicap, and as the blame was attached to W. Grindlay, the rider of Twilight Song, this horseman was suspended for two months. This is the penalty that is now obligatory under the recent edict of the New Zealand Racing Conference for cases of culpable negligent riding.
