REHANDICAPS DECLARED OMISSION FROM ACCEPTORS [ Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Feb. 19. Mr. H. Coyle has declared the following rehandicaps for the Wanganui Jockey Club’s meeting, the original imposts being given in parentheses:— Juvenile Handicap.—Varimond 8.7 (8.0). Victory Hack Handicap.—Mataroa 8.12 (8.2). Wanganui Cup. Siegmund 8.2 (7.12). Tayforth Hack Handicap.—White Goldd 8.7 (8.0). Petre Hack Handicap.—Red Cat 9.9 (9.4). Omitted From Acceptors. Haile Selassie (8.0) was omitted from the acceptors for the Tayforth Hack Handicap in the list published on Saturday. Highball was not an acceptor for this race. Train Arrangements.
The Railway Department has advertised train arrangements in connection with the Wanganui Jockey Club’s meeting on Thursday and Saturday of this week. Cheap excursion tickets will be issued from Stratford, Palmerston North and intermediate stations, the second-class fares being Ils 3d from Stratford and 9s 3d from Palmerston North. Trains leave Stratford each morning at 7.5 a.m. and 9.37 a.m. and will arrive at the racecourse at 11.6 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. respectively. The return train leaves the racecourse at 5.30 p.m. and is due to arrive at Stratford at 9.30 p.m. The train leaves Palmerston North at 6.57 a.m. and is due to arrive at the racecourse at 10.32 a.m. Trains will leave the racecourse at 4.52 p.m. (arriving at Marton 6.47 p.m.) and at 5.5 p.m., arriving at Palmerston North at 8.53 p.m.
