During the coming week-end eight jinks from the Hokowhitu Bowling Club will play an all-day friendly match with Marton on the Marton green, play commencing at 10 a.m The following players will represent Marton: Hamer, Whitfield, Goebel, Brennecke, O. Gteen, Bending, Humphries, Mugridge, Miles, White, Sanders, Baines, Thomson, W. Marr, Way, Lewis, Rayner, Nuttall, Gibbs, Boswell, Kilpatrick, Denbow, Ward, Barton, Todd, Upchurch, Grona, Hempieman. Bland, Blomiield, Ashton, Sutcliffe. Sutcliffe and Ashton beat Blomfidd and Lewis in a game for the Gatrell Bulldogs.
