ALLEGED STOWAWAY
STEAMER RETURNS TO AUCKLAND. BOUND FOR LONDON. ( Per Presn Awocifction.) AUCKLAND, Feb. 16. The discovery of an alleged stowaway when the ship was nearing Tiritiri on her voyage out of the Hauraki Gulf from Auckland to London resulted in the Shaw Savill and Albion cargo steamer Maimoa putting about and returning to Rangitoto Reef where the man was taken from the vessel by the police. The man was found asleep on a bunk in the firemen’s quarters.
