FREER TRADE RELATIONS
CANADA’S POLICY Received Feb, 16. 5.5 p.m. OTTAWA, Feb. 15. Opening the debate for the ratification of the trade treaty between Canada and the United States, the Prime Minister, Mr. W. L. Mackenzie King, in the House of Commons, declared that Canadian co-o?eration made possible the most important agreement in modern times and a great contribution to the better relations among nations. Defining the Canadian trade policy the Prime Minister asserted that the Dominion was committed to developing freer trade relations with countries with which there could be no question of disturbance of good political relations. She was always ready to add to these countries others whose politics were guided by the same democratic ideals.
