MASTERTON RAM FAIR

DISAPPOINTING SALE [ Per Press Association.] MASTERTON, Feb. 16. Prices that were well below vendors' expectations were realised at the Masterton A. and P. Association’s annual ram fair to-day. Vendors in most cases were prepared to meet the market but buyers operated within very defined limits. Mr. Q. Donald topped the market for stud Romneys, Mr. William Rayner paying 90gns. for a splendid ram. Seven and a half guineas was the top price for a flock of Lincolns, while in a flock of Romneys, Q Donald sold a show pen for 15gns. It was, on the whole, a disappointing sale.
