PUBLIC SERVICE BOWLERS ELECTION OF OFFICERS The annual meeting of the Wanganui Public Service Bowling Association was held on Monday, when a fairly large attendance of members represented nearly all Government departments. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr. L. R. Capp (Police Department); president, Mr. W. H. Cannan (Native Department); vice-presi-dent, Mr. R. Kirk (Railway Department); secretary and treasurer, Mr. |H. R. Neas (Public Works Department) ; general committee, Messrs. C. Piper (P. and T.); M. F. Barrowman, F. McKessar, O. T. Dearsley, L. Turrell (Railway Department); L. R. Capp (Police Department); P. Durrant (Customs); M Beauchamp (Internal Affairs); E. V. Laws (Labour), and A. Featherstone (Lands Department;, match committee, Messrs. L. R. Capp, C. Piper, and H. R. Neas. A shield for competitions was presented by Mr. G. McCracken (Railway Department). It was decided to hold the second annual rink tournament on Saturday, February 18. The Wanganui East Club have kindly placed their green at the disposal of the association for the tournament. This club’s action is greatly appreciated. As it is expected that quite a number of rinks will be taking part, members are requested to have their entries sent in to the secretary as early as possible.
