THE DAVIS CUP
AUSTRALIAN TEAM CRAWFORD INCLUDED MELBOURNE, Feb. 14. The Australian Davis Cup team was announced last nigt.i as follows: J. H. Crawford, J. Bromwich, A. K. Quist, and H. Hopman. The team is to sail for America on May 22. Hopman has been appointed cap-tain-manager.

Marton Club were visitors to the Rapanui Bowling Club during the week-end. Mr J. B. Jack, president of the Rapanui Club, in a few well-chosen words, welcomed the visitors. At the conclusion of play, Mr. Hamer, of the Marton Club, thanked the members of Rapanui for the good time given them and expressed the hope that when Rapanui visited Marton that his club would do its best to entertain them in a similar manner. He specially thanked the ladies of the Rapanui Club for the afternoon tea provided, and on his call three hearty cheers were given, first to the ladies, and then to the Rapanui bowlers, who heartily responded.
