WANGANUI SAILING CLUB
STUDHOLME CUP RACES YALETA IN THE LEAD I During the week-end the Wanganui Sailing Club held a race in the Studholme Cup series, the result being as follow: Albatross (4min.) 1, Avalon (Imin.) 2, Valerie (3min.) 3, Valeta (Imin.) 4. Seven boats competed. Shortly after the start, Albatross took the lead and was never headed, winning by three minutes. On the second run up-river, Whitewings capsized but was righted and linished the course. With one race to go the following are the points scored in the Studholme Cup: Valeta, 30; Albatross, 27; Avalon, and Aloha, 23^each; Whitewings, 20; Valeric, 17; Merlin, 16; Rainbow, 8.
