HIGHLAND DANCING (Own Correspondent) TAIHAPE, Feb. 14. When Highland dancing events were under discussion at the annual meeting of the Taihape St. Patrick’s Day Sports Club on Monday evening, Mrs. C. Gordon, who is in charge of these events, intimated that there would probably be about 50 competitors at the next sports. Highland dancing classes were being ■held at Mangaweka and Hunterville, [besides Taihape, and there was every 'reason to believe that the Highland [events at the forthcoming St. Patrick’s j sports would be extremely well pat- : ronised. LAP CYCLE RACE j A suggestion by Mr. R. Spence that a lap cycle race should be included in the cycling events at the annua! {gathering of the Taihape St. Patrick’s (Day Sports Club was adopted at e 'meeting of members on Monday {evening. • It is proposed to hold a live-milt cycle race and to award prizes to those 'who win the laps that count fot [trophies.
