SHOOTING

WANGANUI DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB (ARK CUP FINAL SATURDAY'S RESULTS The Wanganui Defence Rifle Club fired the final shoot for the Carr Cup (two shoots al 800yds.) on Saturday. W. Jones was the winner for this season with a score of 193. H. Hughes and A. Humphrey tied for second place with 187. The weather was fine but a strong left wind caused several magpies, as much as 10 degrees left wind being required at times to keep on the bull. In view of the N.R.A. meeting at Trentham on March 2 and for the benefit of those members attending, service shooting will be held at Putiki next Saturday. This also counts for the club service championship. Saturday’s scores arc:—
