CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CHURCHES

“Soul" was the subject of the les-son-sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday, February 12. The golden text was Isaiah 25:9, "Lo, this is our God; we have waited for Him. and He will save us: this is the Lord.” Among the citations which comprised the lesson-sermon were the following from the Bible, “O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee, my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is. (Psal. 63:1). Also the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy, “The so-called laws of matter and of medical science have never macle mortals whole, harmonious and immortal. Man is harmonious when governed by Soul. Hence the importance of understanding the truth of being, which reveals the laws of spiritual existence.” (p. 273.)
