FREIGHTER IX MID-ATLANTIC Received Feb. 10, 5.5 p.m. NEW YORK, Feb. 9. The liner Veendam has reached the position given by the Maria Delarrinaga but has found no trace of the ship. It was cabled earlier that the freighter Maria Delarrinaga, carrying a crew of 37, had sent a radio message that she was sinking in midAtlantic, and after this no further messages were received. Four liners, the nearest 200 miles away, were speeding to the rescue.
