COMMITTEE MEETING PRESIDENT ENTERTAINED To give the Victoria League committee members an opportunity to say au revoir to the president (Mrs. A.' H. Boyes), Mrs. N. R. Bain invited them to her home on St. John's Hill on Thursday afternoon, when business and pleasure were combined. The monthly meeting was held prior to the social gathering. Votes of sympathy were passed to the relatives of the late Mrs. G. H. Swan, also to Mrs. W. A. Izard and family in their bereavement. Miss Gibbons generously offering the use of the grounds of her home “Hikuranga” for the party, to which it is hoped that as many as possible of the girls of the young contingent will be present. Mrs. Boyes was the recipient of a presentation from the committee. Thanks were expressed to Mrs. I Bain for the invitation to hold the meeting at her home and for her hosnitalitv.
