ATTENTION TO LAWNS
Preparation of ground for autumn sowing of lawns should be proceeded with. Thorough preparation and liberal feeding are the main essentials. Scratchy methods will yield only poor lawns. For beauty and dignity good lawns are the foundation of the garden beautiful.
Have ground on which lawns are to be sown uniformly firm; tread, roll and relevel several times, reducing 1 the surface to a fine tilth. A lawn is a permanent feature and the sitej must be deeply dug and heavily enriched with manure.
