POSSIBLE LOSS £1,000,000 ESTIMATE. EFFECT OF N.Z. RESTRICTION POLICY. Received Feb. 9, 5.5 p.m SYDNEY. Feb. 9. The Canberra correspondent of the Sydney Morning Herald says that according to unofficial estimates by Federal officials Australia may lose trade valued at £1,000,(XX) a year as a result of the new trade restriction policy in New Zealand. This loss would reduce Australia's favourable trade balance with the Donflnion to approximately £4,000,000 a year.
