GERMAN GRIP TIGHTENING
FATE OF CZECHOSLOVAKIA (Independent Cable Service.) Received Feb. 9. 11.30 p.m. LONDON, Feb. 9. It is reported that the Czech Cabinet is considering Herr Hitler’s ten conditions for guaranteeing the Czech frontiers. They are:— (1) Complete neutralisation. (2) A foreign policy aligned with that of Germany. (3) Immediate withdrawal from the League. (4) A substantial reduction of the the Czech Army. (5) Part of the gold reserve to be handed over to Germany. (6) AH Czech currency in the Sudetenland to be exchangeable for Czech goods and raw materials. (7) Czech markets to be unreservedly opened to Sudeten industries. (8) Anti-Jewish legislation of the Nurnberg pattern. (9) Removal from the armed civil services iff all Czechs displeasing Germany. (10) Germans in Czechoslovakia to be given full liberty to use flags and badges and attend their own schools.
