AMERICAN REARMAMENT
“WAR MAY COME TO EUROPE AT EARLY DATE.” Received Feb. 9, 6.30 p.m. WASHINGTON, Feb. 8. The House Military Affairs Committee unanimously approved Mr. Roosevelt’s rearmament programme, with the ten minority members calling it “reasonably sound.” The committee’s report, declaring that war may come to Europe at an early date, stresses that “our present military establishment is woefully inadequate.”
