CROQUET GAMES
WEDDEKSPOON CUP CHALLENGE MATCH A very pleasant afternoon was spent at the Aramoho Croquet Club greens yesterday, when a challenge match for the Wedderspoon Cup was played between a team from the Wanganui East Club (challengers) and the Aramoho Club. Mrs. Bevege (president) extended a welcome to all. Many visi.ors were present to watch the games, which proved most interesting. Wanganui East won the trophy with a margin of four points. Mrs. Halligan, president of the Wanganui East Club, in a happy little speech, thanked the Aramoho croquet players for the delightful day and expressed pleasure that her club had .von the cup. A delicious afternoon tea was served jy the Aramoho Club. The results of play were as follow: <lrs. Bradshaw 26, v. Mrs. Bevege 11; Mrs. Trussell 26, v. Mrs. Redpath 18; Mrs. Garner 26, v. Mrs. Chapman 19; Mrs. Harris 26, v. Mrs. Downey 22.
