Mrs. and Miss Harding, of Waipukurau, are visiting Wanganui. Mrs. F. Wagstaff, Gloucester Street, is visiting New Plymouth. Mrs. E. A. Moosman, Wanganui, is spending a holiday in Auckland. * ¥ * * Miss Lila Warren, Wanganui, is the guest of Mrs. J. A. Curran, Poukawa, Hawke’s Bay. Miss Peggy Aiken, New Plymouth, is visiting Wanganui and is staying with Mrs. J. Aiken. Miss Catherine Gibson, of Marton, has returned after a holiday spent in the South Island. Mrs. A. Haworth, College Street, who has been visiting Mrs. F. Weight, Devonport, Auckland, has returned to Wanganui. Mrs. F. Seber (nee Nellie Bateman), with her small son, of Bondi, Sydney, arrived by the Awatea and is staying with her parents,- Mr. and Mrs. Bateman, Gonville Junction. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Bamber, No. 2 Line, accompanied by Miss Burr and Master Eric Burr, returned home recently from a four weeks’ motoring tour of the South Island, spending a week en route with Mr. and Mrs. J. Bamber. sen., of South Dunedin. Mrs. C. F. Pieice. of Kent, England, who is visiting New Zealand, is at present staying with Mrs. A. H. E. Wall, Campbell Street, for a few days and later will go on a round of visits to friends in Wanganui. Her late husband, the Rev. Pierce, was a former headmaster of the Wanganui Collegiate School. ENGAGEMENT Ellery—McGregor. —The engagement is announced of Marjorie, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex. ’McGregor, of Shortland, Newcastle, to Rae, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Ellery, of Bulls, New Zealand.
