OBITUARY

MRS. MARGARET SHARPE The death occurred suddenly at her home in Keith Street on Tuesday ni«ht of Mrs. Margaret Sharpe, widow of the late Mr. Walter Sharpe. Several months ago Mrs. Sharpe suffered a serious illness following a chill. She attended a church service at St. Mary’s Church on Tuesday night but took ill after arriving home. Mrs. Sharpe was a keen supporter of the Union Boat Club, particularly when the late Mr. Walter Sharpe was alive, interesting herself in the social activities of the club. Mrs. Sharpe leaves an adopted son, Mr. M. Brown-Sharpe, a brother, Mr. James Brown. of Roberts Avenue. Aramoho, and two sisters. Mrs. W. G. Herd (Wanganui) and Mrs. Connelly (Belfast, Ireland). The funeral wiil take place this morning. Yesterday the flag at the Union Boat Club's boathouse was flown at half-mast as a marx of respect.
