store at 766,070 boxes, as against 404,820 boxes a year ago. The cheese market was steadier at the close on Friday, the price of New Zealand at 6”/- a cwt., being 1/- to 1/6 lower on the week. Friday's closing quotations, with those of the previous week in parentheses, were as follows: New Zealand. —White, 67/- (68/-; a years ago, 68/-); coloured, 67 (68/- to 68/6; a yea' ago, 68/- to 69/-). Australian. —White, 61/- to 63/(61/- to 64/-); coloured, 62/- to 65/(64/- to 66/-). Canadian.—White and coloured, 72/to 74/- (72/- to 74/-). English. Finest farmers, 86/- to 96/- (86/- to 96/-). The retail price of New Zealand cheese is unchanged at 9d a lb. Deliveries of New Zealand cheese from store last week were 13,000 crates. The quantity left in store on Friday was 47,133 crates, as against 44,589 crates a year ago. Canadian cheese in store was 124,538 boxes, compared with 105,198 boxes a year a g°.
