FORTNIGHT’S GAOL
INTOXICATED DRIVER ( Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND. Feb. 7. I In the Police Court Joseph Albert Churches, aged 35, labourer, admitted intoxication in charge of a car at Ellerslie on January 21. after maki-ng a round of the hotels. It was stated that he had three previous convictions for the same type of offence, the last being 1931. He .was sentenced to a fortnight’s gaol and his licence was cancelled for two years.
