DEGREES CONFERRED
BACHELORS OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY [ Per Piesa Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 7. Degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery were conferred on the following at a meeting to-day of the Senate of the University of New Zealand by the chancellor of the university (Hon. J. A. Hanan): — Sydney Graham Aitken, Robert ’ Middleton, de Lambert, Charles Peter Howden, Ronald Alexander MacDon- ’ aid. and Ernest Edwyn Willoughby. The senate authorised the establishment of chairs of botany and zoology 1 at the Auckland University College. ’ This decision was made after a discu*- ‘ sion in committee.
