CLAIM FOR £l2ll DAMAGES ACTION AGAINST A. AND P. SOCIETY 1 Per Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Feb. 4. A special writ has been issued on behalf of Miss Edna Hay, of New Plymouth, claiming £l2ll damages from the Taranaki A. and P. Society for injuries received when she was shot in the back by a bullet from a shooting gallery on the evening of June 9 at the 1937 winter show. Miss Hay was incapacitated and was off work from the date of the accident until February of last year. On the evening of the accident, Miss Hay. who was then aged 18, received a shot in the back when moving along a sideshow alley. The bullet passed through a box filled with earth and reinforced with metal plates.
