SKID AT WESTERN SPRINGS MIDGET-CAR RACER. CONDITION SERIOUS. [ Per Press Association.! AUCKLAND, Feb. 3. The American midget car driver, Elbert. Arthur Turner, was seriously injured when his car skidded into a safety fence during a practice run at Western Springs speedway track this afternoon. Mr. Turner, who is 33 years of age, and unmarried, suffered injuries to his back. His condition is serious.
