WANGANUI CLUB TWILIGHT MEETING Ideal conditions prevailed for the Wanganui Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club’s championship meeting on Cook’s Gardens last evening. Outstanding performances were recorded by R. Harris, the 17-year-old runner, who won the mile by a clear margin, and M. Shewan and A. G. Darby, who came first and second, respectively, in the high jump. Particularly meritorious was the veteran Darby’s jump of sft. 4in., as it equalled his best effort.
