On account of the Hunterville sports being held on the Hunterville Domain on Saturday, the competition match between Taihape Railway and Hunterville will not eventuate. Marton and Porewa meet on the Marton ground. Old Boys travel to Taihape for their match against Taihape. MARTON’S RAINFALL Although the weather this summer has not been at its best, still the month of January has been very dry, but was spoilt by frequent periods of strong winds. Altogether only 1.58 inches of rain fell in Marton during the past month, according to figures supplied by Mr. E. J. Wilde. '‘Mirfleld,” Marton. The average for January is 3.04. Rain fell on the following days: 3rd .03, Sth .03, 12th .ob, 14th .05, 15th .39, 16th .28, 17th .60. 23rd .05, 28th .05, 31st .04.
