RAETIHI CROQUET CLUB

Ql EENSLAND VISITORS On Tuesday last at the Ratiiu lawns a largo number of visitors and members of the Ohakune Croquet Club in extending a complimentary afternoon to a number of ladies who were accompanying the Queensland bowling party. The president of the Raetihi Club (Mrs. A. C. Henderson) welcomed the visitors. The pavilion was decorated with niascs of dahlias and the lawns looked quite gay with the various colours of the dresses worn by the ladies present. Progressive croquet was played ano the winners of trophies were Mrs. \V. H. Sandford and Mrs. R. Thompson. A dainty afternoon tea was served by the ladies of the Raetihi Club. Mrs. Millar (on behalf of the visitors) thanked the president for the very pleasant afternoon they had spent and invited anyone to visit the Queensland lawns should they be in that part of the world. She then called on her party to give three hearty cheers. The afternoon closed with the Raetihi ladies cheering as their guests made their departure.
