Mr Gordan Weekes, who is in bos pital with scarlet fever, is making satisfactory progress towards recovery.
Mr C. G. Holder (Melbourne) is visiting Wanganui. He is staying at the Rutland Hotel.
Mr D. Wilkinyn, of the staff of the Victoria Avenue School, will spend the vacation, which commences on Friday, at his home in Melbourne, Victoria.
Messrs L. Loveridge, W. B. Robert/ son, L. Bank and E. Percival, of New Plymouth are registered at the Rutland Hotel.
Mrs McMaster, Miss Wall, Mrs V. W. Haise, Mr K. S. McMaster Jnr., of Masterton, were guests at the Rutland Hotel for the week-end.
The Hon. K. 8. Williams, Minister of Public Works, spent the week-end in Blenheim. He returns to Wellington to-morrow.
Mr E. D. Andrews, the well-known Palmerston North tennis player, was a visitor to Wanganui, where he played several practice matches, over the week-end. He returns to Palmerston North this morning.
The death is announced from Melbourne of Mr G. F. Schuler, editor of the Melbourne “Age,” who died suddenly from, heart failure. Deceased whose hobby was carpentering, was found dead alongside the bench where ho had been working.
Mr C. F. Newham, of Wanganui, who is official photographer to the Government Publicity Department, will travel the Dominion with the Duke of York, taking still and motion pictures of the trip. Mr Newham will join the party when it comes in New Zealand.

Pearce (Waitotara), Mrs S. Dodgson (Napier), Miss M. Eagan, Mr J. A. McGregor (Dunedin), Air P. Duncan (Christchurch), Miss A. Bristol (Timaru), Air and Airs Barnhill, Air H. Hadfield (Palmerston North), Air and Airs H. Dodson (Wellington), Alessrs S. Newcombe, D. Linn, Air and Airs A. J. Buttle, Mr and Mrs R. Poole (Auckland). The death took place at Westport yesterday of Alonsignor Walshe, aged 83, the oldest ordained priest in the Dominion, after an attack of bronchitis. A native ot County Kilkenny, Ireland, ho arrived in New Zealand 62 years ago, coming out with Bishop Pompalier as a student. Ho was ordained at the age of 23, and was then transferred to the West Coast. Ho had been in charge of the Westport Parish for 56 years, and resigned six years ago on account of ill-health. He celebrated his diamond jubilee as a priest last February.
