OHAKUNE

BOROUGH COUNCIL. (From the “Chronicle’s” Special Correspondent). The monthly meeting of the Borough Council was held on Thursday evening. An application from the Caledonian Society for permission to charge for admission to Rochfort Park Domain on New Year’s Day was granted. The Ponsonby Brass Band wrote stating that Ohakune would be’ visited by the band on January 6th, and asked permission to use the band rotunda —Granted. Jones, to consider the purchase of a truck, and report to a special meeting of the Council.
