SWIMMING WEATHER (From the 4 4 Chronicle’s” Special Correspondent). Owing to the prolonged cold windy weather which has prevailed for the past six weeks, swimming has not been a favourite pastime, and in consequence the swimming carnival in connection with the official opening of the baths has been postponed from to-mor-row to February 12, 19 “7. All tickets already sold will hold good for the later date. The death of Mr Andrew Renwick, of Waverley, occurred at Patea Hospital on Thursday, December 9, after a short illness. The funeral will leave Mr Robert Quayle’s residence for the Waverley Cemetery to-day at 3 p.m.
