WANGANUI CRICKET ASSOCIATION.
The annual meeting of the Wanganui Cricket Association was held on Monday evening, when there were present:— Messrs' James Watt (Huia), Bannister, Atkinson (College), Gordon Luxford (Alexandra), Beaven, Weston (Empire), tMoutray (Aramoho), and Currie (secretary). Mr James 'Watt was voted to the chair. '
The election of officers i-esulted as follows: —President, W. Empson, Esq., Vice-President, John P. Watt, Esq.; Secretary, G. W. Cunrie; Treasurer, James Watt; delegates to Cricket Council, G. T. Weston j Selection Committee, Messrs Bannister, Wa€b, and Sykes; Ground Committee, Messrs Watt, Sykes, Beaven, and Currie. Rules. —The rules drafted by the outgoing Association were adopted as the rules of the new Association.
Clubs. —Various transfers of playere were made from one club to another.,
Opening Season.—lt was decided to open the season (weather permitting) on Thursday with a match, Thursday v. Saturday, and to commence cup matches on Saturday week.
