Received Novemlb&r 2, 9.6 a.m. SYDNEY, November 2. The smoke has ceased at the Stanford iMdne, and the management is hopeful tihiat the damage is not so serious as was at first anticipated. The manager is strongly of opinion tthat the mine was deliberately fired, and has offered a reward of £300 for the conviction of the guilty. The manager's action has caiused a great sensation in the district.
