PROBABILITY OF POSTPONEMENT

AUCKLAND, November 1. Owing to heavy, rains having again set in, it is probable that the Auckland Racing Club will postpone the opening day of its Spring Meeting, fixed for Saturday, till next week. Tha* portion of the course recently re-graded was made extremely heavy by the great amount of rain during the past three weeks,. and it is felt that it would be unsafe to race on Saturday.
