FIGHTING IN LODZ.
INCENDIARISM IN MOSCOW. Received November 1, 7.23 a.m. ST. PETERSBURG, October 31. Much fighting is reported from Lodz, where the Polish and Jewish Socialists have resolved to continue the strike.
A company of infan<tiry refused to fire on a students' procession. The soldiers were all arrested.
Incendiarism is rampant at Moscow. The soldiers of the garrison are encamped in the precincts of the Kremlin, being afraid to occupy their, barracks lest they be burned over their heads. ; Bands of roughs are engaged plundering deserted private flat 6, and only large detaebmen'ts of troops dare venture into the streets.
