WESTMINSTER GLEE SINGERS.

The Westminster Glee and Concert Parly, who toured Austratefia two years" ago under Mr Edward Branscombe's direction with such success, are *again visiting this colony and are booked to appear tat the Opera House on Tuesday, November 7, and Wednesday, November 8. Upon the completion of their last Australian and New Zealand tour this popular body" of singers returned to England • giving concerts en route through the United States, and on reaching London Mr Edward Branscombe reformed his company. Amongst the boy choristers accompanying this party acre no less than, three fads nvho aire ranked amongst the most celebrated boy solists in England. The soloists include several names who have" already established their popularity throughout Australasia, amongst whom* may be mentioned Madame Marie Hooton, Mr Edward Bransoombe, and MVPercy Coward. Mr Dudley Causton, who contributed the humorous musical sketcEes, is still with the Company. The party only remaiined in London about three months, almost immediately again setting off on their travels, and ' tfehey have just completed most successful tours through South .Africa, India, and the Far JSast; thence journeying to these shores'*by way of China and Australia. / The English, American, and Colonial / press are unanimous in their opinion / that the perfection attained in this class / of singing by these highly trained yoI oalists, and their skill in the rendering / of a lengthy repertoire of madrigals, glees, parft-songs, etc., far exceeds anything previously heard. Mr Edward Branscombe, under whose direction these singers are touring, is- to be congratulated on having got together'a party so well able to1 maintain the highest traditions of English part-singing. . To those who take on intelligent interest in that most beautiful of all forms of vocal music the unaccompanied performance of part-singing, a musical treat awaits.
